Portman Ventures
Brand Identity & Marketing Collateral
Portman Ventures Limited (PVL) is a value-driven, opportunity-focused investment firm specializing in the Asia Pacific region. Designed for investors interested in UK property, PVL simplifies the entire process, enabling users to connect with agents, explore opportunities, and complete paperwork entirely within the app. No calls, no meetings, just seamless property investing at your fingertips.
As a design consultant, I led the creation of Portman Ventures’ full brand identity from logo development and visual language to a flexible imagery system. I also consulted on the UI/UX design of the investment app, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive brand experience across digital platforms. Additional deliverables included marketing collateral and branded swag, bringing the brand to life across every touchpoint.
As the brand design consultant for Portman Ventures, I developed a comprehensive visual identity system that blends heritage with innovation. A rich indigo anchors the palette, evoking trust, stability, and confidence, qualities essential to a global real estate investment firm. Accents of crisp white, vivid red, and teal bring in clarity, energy, and a modern edge, supporting both digital and physical brand applications.
Typography plays a central role in shaping the brand’s tone of voice. The combination of Big Caslon Medium and Graphie Light strikes a balance between timeless elegance and contemporary precision, creating a visual language that feels both sophisticated and accessible, reflective of Portman’s seamless investment experience and global reach.
The logo system builds on this narrative: a monogram that nods to the letter “P” while subtly referencing architectural forms, suggesting growth and momentum. Paired with a refined serif wordmark, the identity is grounded yet aspirational, built to evolve alongside Portman Ventures’ growth.
As part of this project, I also designed a conceptual wayfinding and signage system as a reference for Portman’s interior design team. The proposed signage aligns with the brand’s visual DNA, using indigo backgrounds for authority, crisp white for contrast, and selective use of teal and red to highlight key navigation points. Typography mirrors the brand type pairing, maintaining consistency across all touchpoints.
Room names such as The Forum, The Exchange, The Observatory, and The Vault reflect Portman’s world of investment, strategy, and momentum, bringing storytelling into the physical space. Materials and finishes, while left open-ended for the interiors team, are envisioned to be tactile and refined, such as brushed metal, etched acrylic, or matte-finish surfaces that reinforce Portman’s premium positioning.
While not intended as final production specs, the signage concept provides a clear strategic and visual reference that offers direction on hierarchy, tone, and spatial branding in alignment with Portman Ventures’ identity and long-term vision.
